Psychiatrist in Tacoma for over 30 years

As a Board Certified Psychiatrist Tacoma has been my home and place of medical practice for almost forty years.  My goal has been to provide evaluation and treatment for individuals with behavioral health issues.  Additionally I have enjoyed volunteering for organizations with a mission of enriching the health and welfare of the community.  

My medical degree is from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Internship was at the University of Washington/Children’s Orthopedic Hospital and psychiatric specialty training at the University of Texas at San Antonio.  After completing residency I served three years in the United States Army as a psychiatrist.  Two years were in Japan, and the final year was at Madigan Army Medical Center.  

I have served as medical director for two area community mental health clinics and for CHIFranciscan Health, and for over thirty years have had an outpatient practice at Rainier Associates, of which I was a co-founder.  Recently I moved to a solo office practice in North Tacoma.
